Cameron is a postdoctoral researcher in the Plant and Environmental Sciences Department at New Mexico State University. He grew up in Massachusetts and received an undergraduate degree in Wildlife & Conservation Biology from the University of New Hampshire. He went on to receive a MS in Natural Resource and Environmental Management from Oklahoma State University, and a PhD in Range Science from North Dakota State University. His prior research interests include wildlife biology, fire ecology, and plant and animal responses to anthropogenic stressors.
Cameron’s current research focuses on synthesizing research conducted at the Jornada Basin long-term ecological research site. He hopes to use cross-scale, multi-taxa linkages to advance understanding of ecological state transitions, as well as the responses of dryland ecosystems to climate and land-use change.
