The whole world is a savanna; forests and grasslands are just special cases
Greg is originally from Connecticut where he obtained his BS in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Connecticut (2020). He then studied at South Dakota State University where he received his MS in Biological Sciences (2023). His previous research focused on dormancy and germination requirements of native seeds in the context of grassland restoration.
Greg is currently a research scientist working with Dr. Hanan investigating the benefits of agrivoltaics in New Mexico. His work focuses on how rangeland-agrivoltaics impact native flora and fauna, and the capacity for solar cattle grazing in the Southwest.
In his spare time, Greg likes hiking, gardening, and playing soccer.
