Joey was born and raised in Central Texas (San Antonio & Austin) and moved to the El Paso region in 2016 with his wife for school. He is currently pursuing his BS in geography with a concentration in GIS at New Mexico State University and he will be graduating in 2022. At a very early age Joey developed an interest in geography, mapping, and the environment which has led him to choose this degree path.
Joey describes himself as an open book when it comes to research interests.
In his free time, Joey likes to collect records, listen to music, paint, play the guitar or his drums, and spend time with family and friends.
